Spend a Day in La Sierra with Nevada San Martin

Transport From Minca

The adventure (approximately 7 hours total) starts in Minca as we take a 4x4 up and around the mountain almost 20km into La Sierra. Relax as we wind up the fully paved road with a 45 minute drive going through new climates with some amazing views along the way.

Trekking La Sierra

Once parked at the neighbors of Nevada San Martin, we'll begin our trek into the mountains. Very quickly will you get enamored with the raw beauty of the area as we enter the property upon crossing our first of many pristine mountain streams. As we climb in elevation (be ready for a hike) we'll have several opportunities to stop for bird watching, grabbing a drink of water, and learning more about many different aspects of La Sierra including the flora, fauna, hydrology, and history.

Vista Points and Waterfalls

Throughout the hike we will stop at several different view points and waterfalls with natural pools where we can relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds us. We will eat lunch with expansive views where you can study the area and it's diverse geography.

Catered Lunch and Snacks Along The Way

On our hike we will provide a selection of healthy food, snacks and drinks to keep you energized and refreshed. Enjoy fresh, locally-sourced fruits, a wholesome lunch, and nutrient-rich snacks. Our meals are designed to be light yet satisfying, perfect for fueling your adventure while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Hydration stations with purified water and electrolyte drinks will also be available to keep you feeling your best throughout the hike. And to round it all off, you will receive a drink (cocktail or juice) voucher at one of the best bars in Minca to reminisce about your adventure!

What to Expect

Early Start
for Best Views

We provide a range (6am-9am) for when you'd like your adventure to begin. With that said, the earlier we leave, generally, the better the views and birdwatching on our hike.

Plan for Changing Conditions

We'll work up a sweat on our way up the mountain but be ready with different layers in case we encounter inclement weather. Rain is generally seasonal (April-November) but the mountain's climate can be unpredictable at times!

Personal Preferences and Equipment

We'll be providing water, snacks, and a delicious lunch but come prepared with any other preferential requests (bug spray, sun block, water bottle, binoculars, camera, sunglasses, etc.)
